WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN GETTING YOUR FLOORS SANDED:

Once you've decide to install or refinish a wood floor, you may wonder what will happen next. Knowing what to expect before, during and after the work takes place ensure a high quality job.

 

 

1.  Before work begins, remove all furnishing, draperies, paintings, and other items from the   room. Flooring professionals typically are not insured against damages to these items, so removal will be your responsibility.

2.  For new installations, the wood will need to acclimate, which will vary from 2 to 3 days.

 

3.  If your floors are being sanded, finish or refinished, be prepare for some noise and disruption. Dust containment  systems can minimize debris, but no system is 100% effective.

 

We seal all the doorways with plastic.

Each room is vacuumed thoroughly.

As part of our customers satisfaction we take extreme pride in making sure your home is left as neat as possible in the inside as well as the outside.

 

4.  When the finish is applied, stay off your floors until dried. It takes 15-24 hours for each coat to  properly dry.

 

5.  Furniture may not be placed back to original locations within 72 hours from the time last coat is applied.

 

6.   Keep in mind that no 2 boards will be identical. variations in appearance are completely normal. Cracks  are normal as well, and will appear and disappear between floor boards during seasons of high and low humility.
